I am extremely overweight and need to lose weight, I’m looking for the best over the counter weight loss product and a good diet plan to follow. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don’t need to know the whole science of glycemic index and load. It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin. Not a diet, but diet lifestyle.

How many calories should a teen get a day?

I’m trying to lose a little wheight and I need some tips! Also, how many calories do I need a day?

The average person is said to need about 2000 calories a day, but it really depends on your body type and metabolism. But I personally think it’s stupid to obsess over counting calories. Just enjoy your food (but still eat healthy)!

Diet pills or any kind of weight loss product that advertises no healthy eating or exercises is bad for you.
I’m not going to tell you to diet because that’s ridiculous. But as for exercise, that’s needed for your body to stay healthy. Trust me. So read this, please. I’m not trying to offend you but this is just a suggestion to live a happy and healthy lifestyle.

First of all, I really hope that throughout this process you’re considering your health before your image. It’s really not healthy to starve yourself by just drinking slim fast and protein shakes. This is a healthier version of weight loss that your body will thank you for!

Exercise:
A. Go to your local gym. I personally love going to the YMCA and taking classes such as Spin, Boot Camp, and Xtreme Pump. They are an hour long each and REALLY help you to get fit!
B. *If you can’t afford a membership or just don’t have the time, you could wake up early in the mornings or go out in the evenings for a nice run around your neighborhood. Bring an iPod or MP3 with you to pump yourself with fast-paced and easy going music.
*You can also set a goal for yourself to do 100 sit ups, push ups, and stretches every morning and night, and before you take your run. It helps to build muscle and tone the areas that running doesn’t focus on.

Food: (THIS IS NOT A DIET)
First and foremost, please DO NOT go on any crazy, unhealthy, starving diets. Still eat 3 meals a day with a snack between each.
(and all of this is from my experience)
*For breakfast, have a healthy cereal with a piece of fruit and a bagel. Drink orange juice and/or coffee with it.
*Lunch, a plate of spagetti with low-fat garlic bread and a glass of milk. (BTW, if you drink 3 glasses of low fat milk a day, it helps to make your bones strong and make you leaner :D) Have some broccoli or another small portion of veggies on the side.
*Dinner, similar to lunch: your basic entree, a portion of veggies, some milk and/or water

Snacks can include healthy yogurts, fruits, and wheat thins. Drink water throughout the day, too. It helps to flush out your system and keep you hydrated throughout your exercises.

It sounds like a difficult routine to get used to, but it’s so easy once you get started. I do the exact same routine and I am now 115 lbs and VERY healthy and energetic! Working out will be difficult at first, but once your body gets used to using so much energy, it will crave it!

And as far as eating before you exercise, you can do either
*have a snack before
*or have a full meal, then wait an hour before exercising

and ALWAYS eat after exercising, and drink water!

PS- as for results, you will begin to FEEL them before you notice them! If you exercise for 30 mintues to an hour 4-6 days a week, you can lose up to 3 lbs that week. It’s healthy to only lose small amounts of weight at a time, like 2-3 lbs a week.

Results on the scale are also different from your health. When you start exercising you will start to gain muscle, so it will seem like you’re not losing weight when you step on the scale, but you will notice by your size.

What’s a great way to loose weight for teens?

I am 15, 5’3 and I weigh 120.5. I know it sounds fine, but I want to at least loose 5-10 pounds… I think I’ll benefit more if I lost a few pounds. Right now I am already exercising on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and yoga on Saturday. I try to eat about 900 calories or less. I heard about acai berry…….. but I really want something that is kinda cheap and tastes good. Any other tips about loosing weight would be great too.

Everyone wants to know what’s the quickest way to lose weight? Losing weight is not really hard to accomplish! You just need to keep motivated and dedicated! The main thing to remember is that weight loss is achievable by two main methods. The two main methods are through eating healthy food and through exercising. As long as you work on eating right and doing exercises you can be successful at losing weight!.
The first weight you can loose weight in a healthy method is the food you eat. By eating healthy food is a great way in which to help you lose weight. You must strive to eat less calories than you take in. Also, if you eat meat, you should consider eating lean meats, such as poultry and fish, instead of eating red meats. Also, don’t eat at any fast food places. Especially, don’t eat hamburgers and fried foods, like French fries. Something very important to keep in mind, too is that of cutting down on our portion size. Try eating more often so that you don’t eat larger meals, which could make you overeat. It is totally fine to leave some food our plate! You don’t have to feel that you must need to eat everything on you plate. If you are going to be cooking the food yourself, try to make enough food for only one sitting and not for the next day. This will ensure that you are only eating the foods you have prepared for that meal and not possibly entice you to overeat and eat the left over food at one time. Drinking a lot of water is very important in losing weight. Drinking water keeps you full and washes out any toxins in your body. Try drinking water instead of sugary drinks. Stay away from sodas, fruit drinks etc. Try cutting out completely and sweets as much as possible.
The second main weight loss method is by doing exercises. What’s great about doing the majority of exercises is that they can be done at home. Ways to lose weight from home can include, aerobics, treadmills, elliptical trainers, stationary bikes, skip ropes, weight training, etc. Basically, any exercises that can be done inside the home and that doesn’t require to leave the home to work out. Try to burn around 500 calories a day by doing aerobics and various exercises. If you find you’re having trouble picking your exercises, you might want to talk to a trainer where they can help you in choosing appropriate exercises. Do exercises at least three times per week. This should include alternating between days of doing cardiovascular exercises and weight training. Remember, muscle burns more calories than fat. Cardiovascular exercises are important to keep your metabolism running high and also to burn calories while you exercise.

Hey everyone! I do not know where you live but spring soccer tryouts are coming up and need some healthy food , work out and energy tips. I really want to be in good shape for the tryouts so give me all the advice you have for athletes oh and I am a teen so don’t recommend any weight loss or energy medications.:)

staying fit can be boring by running miles but you can get faster and leaner by doing interval training. Its like running intense, then rest, then run again then rest again for a certain amount of distance and youre timing yourself. For example if i wanted to give you a workout of 6 laps with 2 minutes rest in between then id write 6 x 400m, 2 minutes rest. 400m because thats how long a lap is on a track.

Healthy food? You know what that is stop eating junk and start eating protein and an ok amount of carbs. Vitamins and many other things are necessary too but just use those sites i gave you for a LOT of info
