Your Questions About Weight Loss Plans For Men

Paul asks…

Should I start doing crunches with fat on my stomach?

I have about 2 inches of stomach fat to lose… 15lbs is my weight loss goal. I’m going to try to lose it in 5-6months… I run 2miles 5 days/wk and I am a very nutritional eater. I rarely eat processed/refined foods.
I want a 6 pack (im a woman) , so should I start doing crunches now, so when the fat recedes, my abs will be visible in a shorter amount of time?

Maricela answers:

You can lose the 15 pounds easily in 5-6 months safe weight loss is 2 pounds a day. And it looks as though you have a good plan.

The six pack is a hard thing to get especially for a woman we have more body fat than men. So you’re diet will need to be strict and quite low fat.
You will need to do a lot more than just crunches. You need to hit your abs at every angle possible to get 6pack abs.

For help in finding good ab exercises go to youtube there are many good videos you can watch to get ideas. Good luck.

Robert asks…

How can I lose some pounds fast and look good for prom?

I know there’s no quick fix to weight loss. I’m currently eating five 300 calorie meals a day and hitting the gym as much as I can…but a friends prom is next week and I look so gross in my dress. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Maricela answers:

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For
diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food
after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on
your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If
you don’t eat wheat then you don’t eat all those sticky, fatty goey
cakes, you don’t eat junk food, and you don’t eat biscuits. But your
diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to
calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising,
start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the
most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a
lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,
disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target
your problem areas for men and women. It’s not necessarily to become a
bodybuilder or even join a gym – a couple of dumbbells will help you
to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

Michael asks…

What is a good meal plan if you want to stay at your current weight but cut down fat and get super defined?

I am 6 foot 2 and 200 pounds and I already have good muscle definition from all the lifting i do, but i want to take my muscle tone to the next level. I want to maintain my current weight and just get super ripped, I know its gonna take a super high protein diet my biggest concern is the calories. I dont know how many calories is too much and will make me fat and how much is too little and will cause muscle and weight loss.

Maricela answers:

A good bodybuilding diet needs to follow 3 rules:
1.It should favor smaller and frequent feedings throughout the day
instead of smaller ones.
2.Every meal should have carbohydrates, protein and fat in the
correct ratios: 40% carbs, 40% protein, 20 % good fats.
3.The calories should be cycled to prevent the metabolism from
getting used to a certain caloric level.

Recommended Basic Bodybuilding Supplements For Men
(Essential to take)
Definitely make sure that you cover at least the basics of
supplementation which are a Multiple Vitamin and Mineral formula, 3
grams of Vitamin C split in 3 equal servings throughout the day,
200mcg of Chromium Picolinate, and essential fatty acids coming from
either fish oils, flaxseed oil or extra virgin olive oil. Also, for
convenience purposes a good meal replacement or protein powder is a
great way to add valuable calories and nutrients to your diet.

Ken asks…

If you just eat salad and drink water for a diet?

I want to be on a diet. I really need to loose like 30 pounds. I use to be that Weight and i’ve gained it somehow.
I plan to only eat salad, drink water, add multivitamins, and some tuna and crackers too.
Also, run outside and do some crunches.

Could this really help quickly??

How about weight loss pills?

Maricela answers:

I started this Diet (lifestyle change) in the middle of November at 140lbs, and now at 119lbs

A DIET IS WHAT YOU EAT….there for we are all on a diet….
THINK LIFESTYLE CHANGE

You got the change the way you think and feel about food

TRY THIS, and stick to it.

The first 3-4 weeks are the hardest until your body adjusts to the change.
Results will be in about the same time

Fruits and Veggies

Eat more plants and keep away from stuff that was made in plants.

Don’t eat anything that comes in a can, box or package….
…..THEY HAVE ADDITIVES IN THEM THAT MAKE YOU ADDICTED TO THE FOOD…..
If man made it, don’t eat it

NO white BREAD or SUGAR

NO FRIED FOOD…

Stay away from FAST FOOD

Walk your dog, or walk a friends dog

Don’t think of it as a diet, but think of it as a lifestyle change

I have lost 25.5 pounds in 2 months, drink lots of water. I usually eat a meal of what ever I want once a week….controlled portion….this really works………

Write down every thing you eat

Take a multi vitamin at night
