What happens if I suddenly lose a lot of weight?

(Beside the fact that I will probably regain the weight that I lost)I wanna start a diet but I know people that followed it and regained weight. However, I am tempted to start it cause it makes me lose many pounds and I really need it. Anyone knows a good way to keep the pounds off? Thanks.

Maricela answers:

I don`t think it`s good to start this kind of diet. It will probably lead you to weight cycling. Trust me, that`s a vicious cycle you can`t get out too easy. However, you seem decided to start that diet. The best way to keep the weight off is to count your calories and use a diet planner. You need to pay extra attention to what you eat after that diet ends. You find a good diet and fitness planner at projectweightloss.com for free. I use it myself for a few months and i`m happy with it. There`s a nice community dedicated to weight loss problems but not only and you can get many advices. They also have interesting diet ideas, maybe you`ll find another diet that works better for you and change your mind. Good luck!

A good online meal plan maker for weight loss?

I’m looking for an online meal planner, that will tell me what I could eat to lose a certain amount of weight. I am a vegetarian so it would have to respect those limits. It would also have to be free!

I lost 80 pounds doing this. Eat apples. Here are some helpful tips.

Apples are known to keep the doctor away, but recent studies have shown that three apples a day can also help you lose weight. The effectiveness of three apples a day was first noticed by dietitian Tammi Flynn who advised her clients to have an apple at mealtimes. This enabled her clients to break the weight loss plateau even when their diet and lifestyle wasn’t changed.

Why Whole Fruit is Better
Apples are a good source of vitamins, minerals and fiber and they are low in fat, sodium and calories. They can make you feel full for longer as the fiber they contain expands in the stomach. Hence, you require less food to satisfy your hunger. Apples should therefore be eaten just before every meal. The fiber is contained in the skin so you should ensure that you always eat unpeeled apples for greater health benefits.

Advantages of Eating Apples
Apples contain high levels of antioxidants and minerals, and low levels of sodium. Thus, they help prevent water retention in the body. They also help to detoxify the body by flushing out excess water from the body. Most importantly, apples are low on the hypoglycemic index. This means that consuming apples doesn’t increase your blood sugar. Instead, apples help to keep your blood sugar levels under control. Apples are also good for the heart as they contain high concentrations of pectin. Pectin keeps blood cholesterol under control by drawing the cholesterol out of the blood stream. Apples and apple sauce have been associated with better lung function and apple extracts have also been known to reduce the growth rate of breast cancer, but it’s best, in general, to eat apples in their raw form.

Precautions
It’s better to eat the fruit rather than drink the juice or have apple sauce because the juice and the sauce don’t contain as much fiber, vitamins or minerals as the fruit. Juices and sauces also contain added sugar and preservatives, and are more harmful than beneficial for your health. You must ensure that you rinse apples with water before eating them, as supermarkets generally wax apples to make them look attractive.

Here are some tips to losing weight:
If you want to lose weight and keep the weight off, it’s not enough to reduce your diet. You’ll have to exercise as well. If you’re not used to exercise, start by walking for 30 minutes a day, then if you can manage that, gradually increase the time and your speed.

Give up drinking alcohol.

Avoid diet drinks such as Diet Coke and Diet 7up. They have no calories, but they taste as if they do, so your body will become confused. Drink mineral water when you are thirsty, with a little orange juice or apple juice added if you don’t like the taste or water.

Eat lots of vegetables with protein every day and reduce the amount of meat you eat.

Any ideas for fast weight loss?

I definitely need to lose weight before my wedding in October. I`m 5 ft 2 in and 139 lb. I know i`m overweight and should lose about 18-20 lb. How do find out how many calories I need to eat daily? I want to start a workout program too. I want to start with a 20 minutes walk in the morning and 5-10 min of jogging in the evening. Is it enough? Thanks.

Maricela answers:

To check the number of calories you need eat daily, go to projectweightloss.com. You can enter your target weight, and the web site calculates how many calories you should eat every day to reach that weight. The site is free, you just need to sign up as a member.. They also have a diet and workout planner that shows you how many calories you burn when you exercise, and how many you eat with your meals. That`s how you can find out if you exercise enough. You can also use their weight charts and see whether you`re under/over the daily calorie limit. Good luck!

How to find free time and eliminate personal goals?

I’m not sure how this has happened, but I currently have way too many things to do, from planning my wedding, to cleaning, to practicing singing, piano, the violin, starting my own business, working full time, preparing to move, trying to lose weight, running, etc, I am getting myself really stressed out.

It really does make me sad to think that I can’t do any one of these things, but I know there are just not enough hours in a day.

What is the best way to manage my time and eliminate some of my hobbies and goals?

Maricela answers:

Im in the same situation atm so i know how this feels…Get yourself a notepad and write down all these things you just listed. Then order them in priority and think how much time a week you should spend on each one.ATM i would say the wedding(congratulations by the way) as once that is out of the way you have more time on your hands to do the other things. With regards to starting the business this can take time and it is best to get it all ironed out before you charge full steam ahead into it. Once you have determined how much time you need to spend on each one write it all down in a weekly planner. AND STICK TO IT… As soon as you begin to stray from the plan it will become messy again. Getting all those thoughts down onto paper and being able to manage it is key. The notepad will basically be your “problem shared = problem halved”. If time management isn’t your thing then simply write down a list of things you want to get done by the end of the week and do them. If you feel yourself getting stressed take time out to practice your instruments or go jogging. As for the weight loss thing if you choose a diet that settles the breakfast and two meals dispute then it shouldn’t eat in to your time too much. Whatever you do don’t get bogged down handling everything at once…Handle each one a little bit at a time in bitesize chunks. You can do it.
