Will I lose weight from this workout plan?

Im a teenage girl and I want to lose about 5kg and tone my body, does this work out sound good to do 3 times a day?
-jump rope for 5 minutes
-25 sit ups
-20 squats
-jumping jacks for a minute then break for 20 seconds and do it again for 5 minutes

Would this work, followed by a moderately healthy diet?

Weight is lost by calories in vs calories out. You need to be in a deficit, check what your BMR is on google and eat 300-500 calories below that and the weight will fall off easily. Exercising aids in the weight loss.

If you find it hard to track calories then check – its great for counting calories and there is even an app for it, after a few weeks it should only take 2mins a day and after a few months you can do it in your head naturally (which will benefit you for the rest of your life).

I’m going to be with my boyfriend in the summer and I’ve gained a lot of weight recently. I hate it. I use to be one hundred twenty one(120) pounds when I was a vegetarian but now I’m one hundred fifty one(151) pounds… I feel embarrassed to say that. I hate it so so much. I’m a fifteen(15) year old, five foot five(5″5) teenage girl. I’ll be sixteen(16) at the end of June. I really want to lose weight and I feel a like my stomach is too big too. I just want to lose this weight and have a flat stomach so that I don’t feel so fat. I don’t usually exercise but I’m going to start I hope, I’m going to try to diet but I don’t know what kind of things to eat. My boyfriend weighs one hundred ten(110), but that’s not his fault. He doesn’t eat much and he’s also just naturally that skinny. Do NOT tell me to break up with him. .__. That’s a stupid reason to give. Please help.

Losing 10 lbs a month is a good and safe target. Any faster weight loss is likely to be temporary only and in most cases you regain it all.

Running, jogging, cycling, swimming, dancing, push ups, sit ups, squats, brisk walking and power walking all help for weight loss but dieting helps more.

Ate around 1550 calories Help?!?

i had 1530 calories today and yesterday, i usually eat 1200-1300.
i exercise every morning at 5:30 for 30min. strength
*one slice of whole grain bread (100cal) with a egg without yolk about (20cal)
*oatmeal (120)
*gnc lean shake(180)
*one slice of whole grain bread(100)
*organic peanut butter(180)
for “Snack”
*whole grain cereal(300) D:
*chicken(190) and ranch(- bad idea,(110)
*less than half of sweet potato with butter about(120)
*couple bits of kashi cookie so around 1530.
Then 1hour of working out

Will i gain weight for eating like this?
I’m 15 and weight 137-142 depending if i gained weight and 5″4

Ok, first off your eating horribly. The only reason you would gain weight with your diet is because you are starving your body so it’s metabolism has slowed to a crawl and therefore taking any extra you give it and turning it directly to fat.
I did the same thing for a while: exercising a lot and eating around 1400 calories. I lost weight rapidly and became so so ill, it’s taken a year and a half for me to get back my strength. I exercise now the same that I did then and eat around 3500 calories a day. (I’m 15 years old.) But I’m not obsessive with my food intake anymore, and you shouldn’t be either.
Your body has a range of how many calories it takes fuel itself each day. Since it naturally wants to maintain it’s weight, a little more or a little less one day isn’t going to cause much damage and it will fix itself. The problem is when you eat too little too often, and then it has to take care of itself for that everyday, which is what may start (or already happening) to you, and happened to me. Your metabolism gets wicked slow, because your body is clinging off everything to survive. To get the most nutrition out of the food (fuel) you put into your body you need to eat at the high end of your range. (By range I mean the amount of calories you can consume without gaining or loosing any weight, which depends on how active you are) For the “average” SEDENTARY teenage girl this should be 1000 plus your age times ten. So for me, that’s 1000 plus 15*10, or 2500. So, if I was inactive, my range would be between 2000-3000 because that’s +/- 500 calories. But since I’m active, I burn an extra about 1000 so I eat around 3000-4000 everyday. No lie. I know, it sounds like a lot. But after eating so little, like you, before, the change in my body is unbelievable. I’m the same weight I was, but I am so much stronger, energetic, and “alive” looking.
Some signs of malnourishment that I had, which you can check on your self are purple/brittle fingernails, fatigue, extreme tiredness, dizziness, lack of hunger, confusion, low pulse, lack of color (pale dead-looking skin), and hair falling out, and many more.
Seriously, don’t accidentally fall into malnourishment. It’s terrible, and can effect your body for the rest of your life (bone loss for one thing). Keep active, and enjoy being a teenager- with friends, eating pizza and candy at the movies, just carefree! Your body will take care of itself and maintain a healthy weight if you let it and don’t try to control it. Good luck (:

If you are a teenager, pretty much every teenager ever born hates her body. No matter how gorgeous or popular someone is, most of them are still sitting in the bathroom alone at some point wishing they were taller, shorter, bustier, flatter, rounder, slimmer, or something. It’s because of the hormonal changes they go through at that time. It makes people a little bit crazy.

The flipside of that is that almost everyone when they’re an adult looks back at their teenage self and thinks “Wow, I was so pretty then… I wish I’d known it!”

Now, on to you personally. What can you do about your body and your feelings?

First things first – get healthy. Notice I did not say get thin. Thin and healthy are NOT THE SAME THING. If you eat good foods – lots of different kinds of foods, lots of fruit and vegetables, not just greasy junk – you will have good nutrition and vitamins and feel more energetic. If you get exercise, you will be able to do a lot more and you will feel more connected to your body. You will be better able to recognise the value of your body if your body can do cool things like run a mile.

So – eat healthy and exercise, slowly at first if you’re not used to it. Find fun things to do, like dancing, swimming, playing DDR, whatever. Get active and see what your body is capable of.

Maybe you’ll lose weight, maybe you won’t. You don’t NEED to lose weight to feel good about yourself (and most weight loss comes back anyway).

Second, dress yourself up. If you feel bad about your body you may tend to dress in huge baggy tents that make you feel even bigger and more ashamed. Find someone with good fashion sense to show you how to make the most of the figure you have. A lot of bigger girls can be really fabulously sexy if they work with their bodies instead of against them. Get your hair done. Get your nails done if you like pretty nails. Find ways to enjoy who you are. If you’re happier about yourself, you will naturally look prettier to others.

Third, if you feel bad about yourself because your friends are saying nasty things to you…. Well, they’re not very good friends, are they?

Boob? what should i do? i need someone thats thought of it before.?

I wear a size 36 D for a bra i hate my boobs so much that i sometimes want to just rip them off of me but other times i love them. i told my grandma and for some reason she told my dad so he looked up breast reducing to see how much it would cost the risks that type of stuff and found out that it would be $4,000-ish to do. I am 15 and junior in high school and if i did do this i would wait until i started college. i just want to know if some one else has done it. what they have to say about it. i would love to go to a size B! also to know what the risks are and if they like there boobs after wards. Opinions on if i should do t or not.
i also have lower back pains if i stand or it for like an hour in one position. I don’t know where boob back pains are though.

Oftentimes the size issue resolves itself as you learn to accept who you are and stop sweating your looks. That advice is usually applied to women with smaller breasts who want your size because they think it will attract boys. You may have a different issue which is that you have become too self conscious of your breasts and aware of their allure. This makes people, especially teenage girls uncomfortable which of course results in their wanting smaller sets. It’s ironic when you consider that most girls your age would kill for a chest your size and you and probably girls with larger chests would kill for smaller breasts. Still the advice applies which is that once you reach a certain age you stop sweating these problems you grow more confident and that confidence results in not caring whether you have a b cup a c cup or you have the largest breasts in the world.

Now with your size there are problems that can result due to stress put on the system. Your back may frequently be sore, you may have trouble moving and it may throw your body out of alignment. Larger breasts do have the capacity to cause physical ailments even scoliosis. This would be the one reason to consider reduction.

I’ve had several friends reduced and a few of them are much happier now mostly due to that stress. I’ve had a couple of friends who have gotten the reduction and are still unhappy because they have not dealt with the fundamental reason they wanted it reduced in the first place which is they are unhappy with their looks, and remain unhappy to this day. I’ve had one friend who got it reduced then later had implants because she missed them. From my position not one of them looked better or worse for the loss of size (except for one because she had gained a lot of weight pre surgery and it looked weird)

My suggestion is to consider what makes you hate your size. If it’s the pain and discomfort you can naturally reduce large chests by doing physical workouts that reduce fat composition in the system. You can reduce yourself whole cup sizes by eating right, daily exercise coupled with regular weight loss. The slower the weight loss the more likely your breast will shrink when they are large, opposite that people with smaller chests will also note that exercise that includes weights will increase their chest size, there is some happy medium where large chests shrink and small ones grow. The bonus to the working out regularly is that as you strengthen your torso, stomach and back you will notice that you are able to hold them up better. Eventually your upper body strength will completely reduce the physical pain you might have from the size issue.

Now if you would like to change them because they make you feel uncomfortable and you are shy about them, this is natural and every girl has something which she dislikes about herself. It’s not that they are bad looking or that any girl’s prominent feature is bad it’;s just at a young age most girls develop angst about their appearance. Allowing yourself to deal with this issue eventually you will get over the shyness you have about your chest size and instead I have little doubt that you will at some point embrace their size and show them off provocatively. Most women I know who never received the reduction are perfectly happy except for the occasional ailment caused by their size and one woman who works out regularly has never had any pain due to her size and hers are 38DD.
