I want to know the best ways to lose weight quickly and effectively.?

I need weight loss tips to help me lose those extra pounds on my body. I really hate my flabby arms, thighs and big belly. I have been fat all my life and really desire to achieve my dream body like those beautiful models in magazines. What is the best methods to slim down with diets and nutrition?

I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

How can I lose weight without exersicing alot?

Well I already excersice some but I still wanna lose 5 or 10 pounds pretty easily in the past 2 wks and is there any tips you guys can give me for quick and easy weight loss…without starving myself???

Find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
Eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast – they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner – repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
Ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

What should i ideally lift in weight lifting?

I am a rather weak person due to fat.
So far I bench 115.
Squat 225
Leg press 200
Hyper extend with 10 pounds

I am 17 years old. A male. 285 pounds. 6’1″.
What should my goal be to be an ideal lifter?
I am in endurance training for football and weight loss.

Try using the exrx strength standards calculator, and punch in your numbers.

Also, unless you’re already on a strength program for football, I would recommend the “Starting Strength” program. It’s really awesome and will cause all of your numbers to skyrocket.

How many calories is 1 Weight Watchers Point?

I’m not on Weight Watchers and I don’t want to have to look up everything I eat and how many points they are. I would rather count calories but I did this little survey thing that tells you how many points to eat at what week in your weight loss and I wanted to configure those points into calories. So roughly how many calories is in 1 Weight Watchers point?

Speaking strictly in calories here is the breakdown:

0 – 24 calories = 0 points
25 – 74 = 1 point
75 – 124 = 2 points
125 – 174 = 3 points
175 – 224 = 4 points
225 – 274 = 5 points
275 – 324 = 6 points
325 – 374 = 7 points

When you take into consideration fat and fiber though it becomes harder to determine the point value of an item. For instance you could have three different items that are all 100 calories, but each could have a different point value depending on the fat and fiber content.

Over the course of a week, even if someone was to follow their point allowance very strictly, the actual calories consumed each day could vary quite a bit.

How to keep a training log for running?

I recently started running for weight loss and I love it! I want to keep track of my progress but I don’t know the format to write it in. Any ideas?

Use one of the online tools for tracking. Running free (link below) is free and has all of the features you’d want. If you want something to install on your computer instead, try SportTracks (PC) or Ascent (Mac).

If you’re mostly interested in keeping track of weight, try, which also has daily calorie intake calculators. It can also track exercise for you.
