I need to find out the real ways that I can lose weight. I’m 15, and I don’t understand how it works?

I’m not going to share my weight or height because I don’t want to hear you aren’t fat, so how can I just tone up? That’s all I want. I don’t have access to a gym, nor do I have a family who eats healthy. So how can I do this on my own and what could I use?

Ok this is a really really long answer, but please give it a chance because it really works, it worked for me and lots of people I know. Don’t get mad that this is so long hahaz its mostly just lots and lots of tips! Also this is written for like the teenage girl so if you’re an adult than some of this may be irrelavant to you- like the area about Seventeen mag- but there are adult magazines out there that are good for excersizes too. You probably are not a guy lol but if you want to give a guy advice from this some might not be relevant like the bikini and shoes part lol.. Ok back to the answer:

I had the same problem. . But it’s acutally pretty easy to lose it and easier than you think. You just have to be patient and don’t give up because it really does work. Okay well I find that weight loss is easiest with an elliptical trainer (google it if you don’t know what it is. You prob will once you see a picture of it). Treadmills are great for fast results but running is very tiring and hard to do for a long period of time, while ellipticals aren’t tiring- you work up a sweat but don’t usually get out of breath. If you only have a treadmill and you can’t get an elliptical than work your way up to thirty minutes- start off with 15, than 20, or something like that.. It is really important.

Do you get a subscription to Seventeen? They have great workouts in there that you can follow. Here’s what I do. I try to go on my ollyptical for 30 minutes each day (I do it at night but that might not be a good idea if excersize makes you not be able to sleep. For me it makes me tired but it makes some people less tired!) Also you can listen to music while you work out- it makes fun! And the best part is that with ollpytical trainers you never actually run out of breath but you work up a sweat.

Anyway, after you do that, do the workout in your Seventeen. If you don’t get Seventeen, then you can find great workouts at their website or somewhere online. And they are strength workouts not cardio so its more like building your abs (which I admit is like torture- side planks, v-sits, and more) but definetly works. There is also leg, butt, and arm excersizes you can do. You don’t have to do the strength workouts but they help to build muscle and increase stamina so it is better for you in the long run, so if you want to do them at all the best time is after you have worked out so that you are already sweaty and your heart is already pumped up and you are more flexible.

Don’t forget to stretch when you are done excersizing, whether or not you do the strength training. Stretching is impt. Because it helps you cool down and it helps prevent injury or muscle strain so that your muscles won’t be sore the next day. Honestly you don’t have to work out every night, it’s best to do this 3-4 times a week instead of every night. But if you really want to see results fast, then do it as much as you can.

. Also for what do you eat, my biggest setback on eating is that whenever I eat cereal I always have 2 bowls which is not that healthy cuz cereal is starch. Try to not have a lot of starch-bread, pasta, potatoes. Ik it sucks but starch turns right in to sugar or fat so it’s not really healthy. So replace some starch with protein like nuts, fish, meat, chicken, beans, and more. If you are vegetarian there are lots of protein choices that is not meat. Eat a lot of fruits and veggies they are delicious and really healthy. Breakfast in a hurry make sure to eat cereal and fruit. If you don’t have time bring a banana and a granola bar. For lunch if you are at school you can pack celery and peanut butter. It is actually really good! Or carrots and ranch.Something healthy! Pack your lunch with 2 healthy things and allow yourself to pack one thing not so healthy like potato chips or cookies. For dinner try to eat less rice, bread, potatoes, and pasta because again they are starch.

. If you like to eat Chinese or Indian food (both yummmm and Chinese can be healthy as long as it’s not fried, but stir-fried- which is not really frying, its just called that. And in Indian food watch out for creamy things like Butter chicken- omg. That is the best stuff in the world! But it’s not very healthy, but most Indian food is b/c of all the vegetables.) then you probably will have a lot of rice, so try to eat less starch after that. ALso like if you are dying for a bagle then by all means have one but since a bagel is like 500 calories, and all of that starch, you can’t have a lot of starch after that. I think you know what I mean.

I am a teenage girl with a hug stomach! I really need to cut the pounds. But I don’t know how. I try to diet but it never works. My exercise is bare minimum. If anyone has any tips i would 100% appreciate it.

I have been through it all and know what’s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can’t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I’ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.

Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.

First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can’t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising…

This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it’s good for the heart.

However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It’s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I’ve found a great addition to help any one out, it’s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don’t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don’t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn’t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It’s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace dot com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it’s the best pill I’ve tried and I’ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn’t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I’ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.

Im unhappy with the way i look im 130ish pounds and only 4 feet 9 inches, and i cant wear skirts inless i wear shorts underneath or rub deoderant right there to prevent heat rash

what are some exercizes i can do at home to remove that problem area, i also have a bulging belly please help

im a teenage girl going into my sophmore year of highschool and even though i never tell anyone or let on im really uncumfortable with my body, and its hard fo me to find clothes cause you can always see that fat

Okay…I only started three Mondays ago and All I do is walk one hour every morning. I wear a calorie counter monitor to loose weight by the numbers. I have already lost two pant size and 15 pounds. I am a woman and have three kids and this is the method I use when I gain weight.. I am now at a size two and everyone is always amazed that I have had three kids. This is what I do below when I throw on a few extra pounds. It always works..No diet pills, no energy drinks..just me walking and getting the water I need. Of course I watch what I eat and the Lean Cuisine meals are great for that since the calories per box are 180 to 380 per box. Just make sure you eat healthy every three to four hours so your body will perform at its max.

1)A good way to loose weight is to use a calorie counter watch

Keep to a 1,200 food intake

Add 1,200 plus 3,500 (equals one pound of fat) …and that is the total amount of calories you need to burn each day. Its actually really easy once you start watching the numbers and it doesn’t seem like work or exercise. Its just a matter of changing the way you think about loosing weight.

I use this method when i gain some pounds. The first time I did this I went from 168 to 127

Lack of water can lead to dehydration, a condition that occurs when you don’t have enough water in your body to carry out normal functions. To determine if you are getting enough water use this simple formula.. Take your weight, for example 150 pounds and divide by 2. Take your answer which is 75 lbs and change it to ounces, in this case 75 ounces. That is how many ounces of water you need a day. Your body performs mostly on water. If you make sure you get enough water everyday your body will perform at top notch and your body will no longer have the cravings of junk food. You will have a better performing body system to help you work out and feel better thru out your day.

Is it true that you put on more weight if you skip meals or try to eat less to lose weight?

This is a myth ive heard but is it true? And if it is, how does it work because I cant understand how you can put on weight if you eat less??

You’re misunderstanding.

Your body needs a certain amount of calories to function and survive. When you don’t meet those calorie needs, you start to lose weight. However, this is water weight and muscle weight. You need water in your body to survive, and muscle actually speeds up metabolism and lose fat. Losing weight the right way means you lose fat, not water and muscle.

Eventually your metabolism will slow to such a point that your weight loss will plateau and all you will be left with is fat. Your body starts to store fat because you’re not getting proper nutrients that your body needs. If you stick to starving yourself, you don’t necessarily gain weight. However, people are put in a hospital when they let their “weight loss” get too far.

What makes you gain weight is when you stop starving yourself and you eat food again. You’ll immediately put on water weight, and you’ll still have the fat that was stored when you limited your caloric intake. You’ll then have to put on more muscle to make up for that which you lost, and to get rid of the fat that was stored. That’s why they say that if you were to go on a diet, make it a healthy lifestyle. Fad diets don’t work because they cut out essential food groups, and you can’t live eating that way forever. You’ll eventually get bored and/or sick.

Here’s a few extra tips for you:
It takes -3500 calories to lose a pound of fat.
Weight fluctuates all the time because of water weight.
It’s healthier to weigh more from muscle than weigh less with more fat.
Typically teenager girls need AT LEAST 1500 calories a day. Teenage boys need at least 2000. You’re still growing so you need more calories than an adult.
The best way to lose weight/be healthy is to eat 3 full meals a day with fruits, vegetables, protein, and complex carbs, and exercise, which is what the food pyramid says to do anyway.
