How can you best lose weight without losing muscle?

This has been a problem for me for a while, I go on a diet and instead of feeling full of energy i feel fatigued and tired. I’ve tried exercising while dieting and it hasn’t worked.

It doesn’t help that I’m taking some medication that makes me very tired all day long.

How can you best lose weight without losing muscle?

The way not to do it is starve yourself, to start with. Just exercise and eat right. I did….lost 90 LBS because of it. Starving yourself won’t help at all. Drink more water, eat less before bed, and don’t eat for stress are the 3 things I follow and i’m going pretty well if i don’t say myself. 90 LBS isn’t anything like 5-10lbs so take my advice. What exercise would help me lose weight without building muscles?

I’m 30, 5’1 and 100lbs. I don’t want to gain any weight. In fact, I would like to lose 5lbs by this summer, but don’t know what exercises would help me lose weight without building muscles. I would like to tone my gluteus muscles and trim my arm/leg muscles. Has anyone tried something that has worked? Suggestions?

Hey, from looking at your goals above i’d recomend swimming as your best option. Running can end up leaving you too skinny, Crossfit is great but WILL build muscle. Swimming is great for cardio, helps you lose weight and tones every muscle in your body.

Martial arts are also great for toning up and losing weight. If you have a local MMA or boxing gym then get down there!

Does anyone have any ideas of how I can lose weight without exercising?

Does anyone have any ideas of how I can lose weight without exercising? I’m trying to eat healthier and have cut down my calorie intake. I had an operation on my leg so am unable to exercise at the moment any ideas would be appreciated

A good diet will help but exercising will obviously help you lose more weight. I would also try a detox

How long did you have HIV before having symptoms?

A former co-worker of mine was diagnosed recently. She was started to lose weight without trying, had recurring yeast infections, and was really tired throughout the day. She figures she was infected in the past 12 months but I have a feeling it’s been longer than that. Don’t most symptoms start after several years?

It varies…Many people do not develop symptoms after they first get infected with HIV. Others have a flu-like illness within several days to weeks after exposure to the virus. They complain of fever, headache, tiredness, and enlarged lymph nodes in the neck. These symptoms usually disappear on their own within a few weeks. After that, the person feels normal and has no symptoms. This asymptomatic phase often lasts for years. The progression of disease varies widely among individuals. This state may last from a few months to more than 10 years

Can the progression of scoliosis in teens cause you to lose weight?

I am asking this because over the summer I lost a drastic amount of weight without trying too hard to. Also, I have been worried I ha e scoliosis. Also, do you know of any signs as to how to see if I have scoliosis? Please help. I am very worried.

I have scoliosis and there aren’t any signs beside your spine being curved. I never lost weight or had any pain and my spine progessed almost to a 50 degree curvature. If you are worried ask you doctor or school nurse to test you. All you have to do is bend over and touch your toes. Good luck!
