Your Questions About Better Weight Loss Walking Jogging

by Maricela on February 6, 2013

Laura asks…

What’s better for weight loss? An hour of advanced tae bo daily or an hour of walking and jogging daily?

By would be followed by healthy eating.

Which one do you think would help with weight loss more?

Maricela answers:

The hour of advanced tae bo!! Walking is okay! Running is good too! I would mix it up! Do mostly the tae bo, but once in a while take it easy and go for a walk. And run sometimes too!

Good luck!

Lisa asks…

I need to lose around 10KG, and i want to do it by walking daily. How?

I walk steadily everyday for about an hour in the evenings.. 6 days in a week. Sometimes i jog at intervals. Will this help me lose the fat i need? Any other walking/jogging related stuff i can do to boost my weightloss process? How do i know when i got to stop?
Btw, i don’t go to the gym or use the treadmill. And also, if i don’t rub off the sweat soon, will it reabsorb or render my walk useless?

Maricela answers:

Diets and diet pills don’t work so your choice of taking exercise which raises your pulse and makes you sweat is a good one. However, do you really need to lose the weight? The only thing guaranteed to get a body healthy (note I don’t say “lose weight”) is to exercise and eat a healthy, balanced, wide variety of foods plus the occasional treat in moderation (this stops any food becoming “naughty” and therefore craved). Please note that body muscle mass weighs four times more than body fat because the fibres are so much closer together. Some fat is important on the body though as it helps regulate hormonal levels in the body and prevents osteoporosis and other bone wasting diseases in later life (even in men). The question to ask yourself is – do your clothes fit better and how do you look in a mirror – not how much do you weigh. If you think you look untoned, then incorporate some light weights (low weight, high repetitions) into your regime. Incidentally, sweat can’t be reabsorbed by the body. Hope this helps.

Donna asks…

Which would be the better exercise for quick weight loss?

Okay, so i’ve already lost 25 pounds since april 1 when i started my diet. lately i have been slacking and havent been eating the way i should be. i want to start eating good again and my goal is to loose the most 10 pounds by the end of august before school starts back up. now i was wondering, which one would be a better way to exercise? would going for a bike ride burn more calories than going walking/jogging? or should i try other exercises and mix them up by alternating days?

Maricela answers:

Now whenever it comes to weight loss you should follow these simple steps that have helped me tremendously lose weight, pretty quickly if you ask me. And I’ve been trying to lose weight forever and finally found the correct system to help me out…

The first thing you need to do is about 30 minutes of cardio everyday, try to get at least 3-4 days of that people…Exercising is one very important issue you don’t want to be lazy in.

The second thing you should realize is that you cannot eat everything in sight that probably got you looking the way you are right now or the reason you want to lose weight. The pounds come with the food you eat. How do you stop yourself from eating and get a little boost with ousting fat from the food you eat? Simple…

The third and final step is the correct natural weight loss supplement. For me, I found Proactol to be the best. Now this isn’t aimed towards lazy people that want to take a pill and sit on the couch all night and day. These are to tremendously help out with dieting and exercising. For me they were great because with my diet, they basically take out up to 28% of the fat you intake. Not to mention the killer appetite suppressant Proactol is. Every day you will fall under your calorie intake and find yourself one more day closer to your goal.

These steps really worked for me, you should try them out for yourself even if you want to lose very little or that extra mile. Also at the time of my 3 month supply purchase of Proactol, I saved a lot of money on it at theweightlossplace .com

Good luck and I hope this helps you out for your weight loss goals.

Sharon asks…

Can you lose weight by walking on an inclined treadmill during commercials?

I’ve heard that you can break up a 30 minute workout into 3- 10 minute workouts and you get the same, if not better, results. Is it the same if you walk on a treadmill during commercials? For example, if you are watching an hour long television show, and you walk during every commercial on an incline, will you get the results that you are looking for (weight loss)?
I’m trying to incorporate more exercise into my lifestyle and would appreciate any simple suggestions that have worked for others.

Maricela answers:

Not necessarily. Commercials are usually 2-3 minutes in length, so you’d be getting 10- 3 minute workouts which are ineffective at bringing your heart rate up and sustaining it long enough to burn calories.

You’d be better off sprinting commercials and fast-walking/jogging the show, follow this regime for an hour or two and you’ll see results. 🙂

James asks…

If i walk/jog/run for 20 minutes and work my self up to 45 minutes will i lose weight?

I have a big yard not to big but its pretty big. If i walk/jog/run around it for 20-45 minutes will i lose weight and get in shape, like lose the fat and stuff?

Maricela answers:

A walk/jog/run exercise program will help but dieting is more effective than exercise.

Losing 10 lbs a month is a good and safe target. Any faster weight loss is likely to be temporary only and in most cases you regain it all.

Boxing, running, jogging, cycling, swimming, dancing, push ups, sit ups, squats, brisk walking and power walking all help for weight loss but dieting helps more.

You can always eat negative calorie foods for weight loss and below is a list of negative calorie foods that will boost your metabolism.

Negative Calorie Fruits:
apples
cranberries
grapefruit
lemons
mangoes
oranges
pineapple
raspberries
strawberries
tangerines

Negative Calorie Vegetables:
asparagus
beets

cabbage (green)
carrots
cauliflower
celery
Chile peppers (hot)
cucumber
dandelions

These foods don’t actually have negative calories but when you eat these foods raw or slightly cooked your body burns more calories digesting and processing them than what is in the food itself.

For a healthy weight loss add some of these foods to your diet each day. Most of them are full of healthy nutrients.
