What kind of exercises can i do at home to lose weight?

I’m not really a big fan of running (and i heard it doesnt really help with weight loss) and there are no swimming pools near where i live.

Are there any types of exercises which can make one become more toned just by doing it at home? I’m trying to lose 5 kg from a 55-50.

Or are there any useful websites anyone knows of which has been proven useful?

Well actually jogging is really good for losing weight, as it makes you lose the weight evenly off your body, try jogging on the spot or up and down the stairs as supposedly each time you run up and down the stairs you burn 10 calories.
You should try skipping, as it’s amazing for an all over body workout and can burn up to about 250 calories for just 20 minutes.
Sit ups, crunches, star jumps, squats and lunges are all effective ways to help make you sweat and in turn, burn calories.
And of course just make sure your eating as sensibly as possible and drinking plenty of water, combined with a little exercise every day, there’s no way you won’t lose weight.

Is Running a good exercise for weight loss?

I was wondering if Running would be a good exercise for me?
I was planning on to start running in the summer. I’m 15 and I’ve always been interested in running and swimming. So i was wondering if Running would be a good way to slim down. I want to have just a flat body. I don’t want to go into Body building and such, ’cause that’s not for me. So would someone let me know if over the summer Running would be a good way for me to get a slim and flat stomach. Thanks.

Running at your age of 15 is very good.

Swimming is better than running and it affects your whole body.

Do remember that if you become crazy you may be in troubles.

Sweating may help to only those few people who take diet which has more tendency for retaining water in the body. Sweating may reduce weight for 8 to 12 hours and the next day you started about with almost the same weight.

Dieting, in the popular meanings, or starving will hurt your internal health and decrease your resistance against disease, do not go on dieting.

Generally weight is increased because of fats deposits, fat deposits become more in days of pregnancy. You can lose weight, just dissolve them. How?

Some people go for losing weight by pills, starving or a particular type of diet items. It is good that you avoid pills.

Medicinal tablets do not act effectively and for longer durations. Pills have many side effects for your health.

Starving weakens you and your defense system is also weakened. This makes you less resistant against infections and other diseases.

A selection of diet items generally gives you an imbalance diet which can cause many complications including some illness problems.

The best way is to lose weight by change of diet and your physical activities.

1. Take maximum citrus fruits; be sure you are not suffering from any throat Infection.
2. Reduce or stop to take oils and fats.
3. Stop taking sugar and glucose mainly tea, coffee & cold drinks. You can use natural honey for sweetness.
4. Stop taking potato, rice, corns etc.
5. Reduce wheat and corn as much as possible.
6. Take four glass of water (4 X 160ml) in the morning without washing your mouth, then wait for 45 minutes to take any diet. This will drain toxic material from your body and help in maintaining your health.
If you can, join a gym for instrumental exercise to build your muscles but it will be a slow and gradual process.

Take vegetables, boiled meat and fruits including sweet fruits like dates and mango.

And at the top of all:

Walk at least 40 to 60 minutes with spells of jogging from 5 to 10 minutes or more, if you can, twice a day. If you are not habitual of walk start with a walk of 10 minutes and increase gradually.

You can make necessary changes according to your age and activities.

The above tips may help you feel lose of weight to the extent of daily difference.

What are the health benefits of swimming?

My mom says swimming laps is great exercise, but I’m wondering what parts of my body I am working out by swimming? Will it help with weight loss?

Absolutely, the benefits of swimming are immeasurable. Have you ever seen a professional swimmer with anything but a near perfect body?

Swimming works your entire body, chest and shoulders more than arms, but if you start doing butterfly or even just dolphin kick you will employ your core much more effectively and you’ll notice a difference. Obviously you’ll be kicking in the water too which is a great workout to tone the legs and butt.

As far as weight loss goes swimming one mile is the equivalent of running more than three miles so it will most certainly do that, quite possibly more effectively than running, while toning your body at the same time. And it’s a zero impact exercise (although be careful of your form, over time poor form can cause injuries to joints)

If your trying to get into shape swimming is most certainly the way to go, good luck!

How to tell if you are overweight/17 female any opinions?

Im 17 5ft 3in and 150lb female. I was wondering if this is considered overweight? I am a huge soccer player but have taken some time off for a couple of months. I need to get rid of the small amount of belly and back fat that i have acquired over the past few months. ANyone have any good tips or weight loss ideas/supplements that can help me loose weight within 3 weeks!

When you feel hungry, stop and have a cup of water. Wait 5 minutes and assess whether you are really hungry or perhaps there is something else on you mind.
When you catch yourself looking for some-thing to munch on, stop yourself and do something to occupy your time. Many people tend to eat too much when they are bored.
Remember to take it one day at a time.
If you want to snack, make sure it is a healthy, low-fat, low-calorie snack.
Remember, fat-free does not mean you can eat the whole box!
When eating fat-free products, remember to look at the serving size and calories.
Even if you’re eating low fat, you must still be aware of your calorie intake. Calories can add up and you can gain weight eating low-fat and fat-free products.
When setting your ideal weight, be realistic and choose a weight that you can comfortably maintain, without much struggle, for the rest of your life.
Do not weigh yourself more than once a week.
Eat more whole foods, natural products that have not been processed.
Do some activity daily. Walking is an excellent choice and is easy on the joints. Try to work up to 30-45 minutes a day, 4-5 days a week for maximum results.
Take up a new hobby or sport. This can occupy your time and help you avoid the fridge. Many people find that when they are busy they don’t have time to think about food.
Stock your cupboards and refrigerator with fresh fruit, vegetables, whole grain products and low-fat alternatives. This will make it much easier to stick to your new, healthy plan.
Try to replace high fat ingredients in your recipes with lower-fat alternatives
Saute your food in water, both, wine or juice instead of oil.

Another weight loss tip is that use low-fat cooking spray instead of oil.
Drink at least 8 cups of water a day.
Limit caffeine intake to 1-2 cups a day.
Set small goals instead of large ones. If you need to lose 60 lbs., break it down into 10 lb. Goals. When you reach that goal, and then set a new one of 10 or 12 more pounds.
When you reach your first goal, treat yourself to something special.
Always remember to lose weight for yourself, not to please anyone else.
Once a week, pamper yourself. Remember to show yourself love take time just for you.
Prepare a menu plan for the week ahead and stick to it.
Use a list when you go grocery shopping, and stick to it.
Never go shopping on an empty stomach.
Remember to pat yourself on the back for all your accomplishments, no matter how small they may be.

Exercise tips –

1.Lifting Weights
Increasing weights you lift means you can reduce the times per week you lift them. If you lift heavy enough, you will just need to train your muscles one time per week.you can do 3 exercises in just 5 minutes.

2. Always play sports to help you burn fat preferably tennis, swimming or lacrosse

3. Sprinting
. Sprinting can be tough for your body but this is what builds muscles and burns fat most rapidly. It’ll also help you boost your body weight loss hormones. A couple of 60-80 feet springs will burn more calories than a full hour of walking. You could also skip, run, box or swim.

To loss the weight i think this option and its work for me:

eat more fruit
drink fresh juice
get detoxification
no junk food
no milk
no yogurt
no soda
drink natural water
sport (like exercise, running, walking, aerobic, swimming)
eat more salad
good sleep

the example eat menu :

Breakfast

Always same: juice presses fresh, as much as desirable, up to 14 ounce; fresh succulence as much as desirable, or salad fruit; when do you very hungry. When not make difficult, sometimes fun replaced fruit every day that eaten at morning

Lunch

Fresh fruit juice, or carrot juice, 4 – 8 ounce, when does desirable. Salad with fresh vegetable addition desirable and combination sandwich with cucumber or celery.

Dinner

Fresh vegetable cocktail juice, soup cream cauliflower. Potato boat or simple grilled chicken. Garlic flavor string bean. Salad green French.
