Green tea to aid weight loss – How many cups a day?

How many cups of green tea should i drink a day to help aid weight loss? I am not too keen on the taste – i think it tastes like soil, but i can force it down so its okay 🙂 lol
I want to lose 8 lbs at a rate of 1-2 lbs a week and am controlling calories already.
How many cups?

Here’s some weight loss tip’s I have picked up over the years:

– Exercise 6 to 7 days a week.

– And try to break your workout into two different sessions, this gives your metabolism a jolt.

– Drink 10 to 12 cups of water a day. And try to drink ice cold water, it burns more calories.

– Take enough vitamins, especially ones that promote weight loss (such as 1800 mg. Of Fish Oil, Vitamin B Complex, Co-enzyme Q-10, ect. Do your research).

– Drink green tea or take green tea pills ( it’s been shown to speed up your metabolism).

– For your metabolism’s sake, eat within 1 hour of waking up and don’t eat 3 hours before you go to bed.

– Try a vegan or vegetarian diet (it worked for me :D).

– Drink 12 oz. Of warm lemon water (use the juice of 1/2 a lemon) with a little sea salt every morning. This will detoxify your body and make your skin look amazing.

– Or, if giving up meat just isn’t your thing, just count calories. Try to have around 1200 a day.

– Try to avoid white, bleached, or enriched flour.

– Stay away from high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated oils.

– Eat every 2 to 4 hours to keep your metabolism going.

– Eat 5 to 6 small meals a day to keep your metabolism up.

– Try to get 6 to 8 hours of sleep. When your body is deprived of sleep your appiteite increases by 15%.

– Sugar and artificial sweeteners are the devil. If you have a sweet tooth, grab some fruit.

– Avoid all junk food, fast food, and fried food.

– Try only drinking water, tea, and black coffee. There are so many hidden calories in drinks.

– Eat whole grain foods and healthy fats (like olives, avacados, nuts, ect) and stay away from refined or “bad” carbs.

– Remember to read the labels. They hide so much junk in “healthy diet” foods now a days. My rule of thumb is, if I can’t pronounce it, I won’t put it in my body. Because you are what you eat.

– Set small goals (like 5 pounds) and when you reach your goal reward yourself with something (not food).

And just remember that you can do this. It’s not impossible. You just have to stick to it and the weight will just fall off. Good luck with losing weight. Hope I’ve helped. :):)

“Your body needs a certain amount of calories each day to maintain performance of normal activities, such as walking, breathing, sleeping, and thinking. Depending on your size, your body will require a different amount of calories each day.

On the flip side, if you eat too few calories your body will think its starving. This phenomenon goes back to the days of the caveman, when cave people weren’t really sure when or where they would find their next meal. The body learned to store excess calories as fat for future use. Well, we no longer live like that as we, fortunately and unfortunately, have unlimited access to food thanks to modern conveniences. What this means is, if you’re not eating enough calories your body will store the calories it does get as fat rather than trying to burn those calories. That sounds counterproductive, and it is. That’s why it’s important to feed your body regularly with the right amount of calories from the right sources.

What beverages are appropriate for weight loss?

I’m starting a bit of a health kick. I used to me morbidly addicted to soft drinks like Pepsi and Sprite. I switched to water not too long ago. But I was wondering if another option was available.I’ve started P90x and I use water as a recovery drink. But I was wondering if there is a beverage a little more favorable to my taste buds while still being healthy towards weight loss.

Also, could milk be a possible verdict for weight loss? Or does it have too many calories?

Instead of milk which has a lot of calories, you could try unsweetened almond milk which is only 35 calories a cup.

I love seltzer…. It’s fizzy and no calories. I drink Canfield’s lemon, lime and raspberry seltzers. It’s bitter though because they have no sweeteners.

I also love tea…. So many kinds of tea. My favorite right now is Mint Medley by Bigelow…. It’s decaf. I steep it for at least 20 minutes, often an hour, sometimes overnight… I like it really strong. Then I reheat it when I’m ready to drink it.

Also another drink that is good is Tisano Chocolate Tea…. It’s not really a tea…. It’s just chocolate beans…. You need a metal infuser (metal ball to hold tea leaves) to hold the chocolate nibs… That is a really strong chocolate flavor and zero calories…. It’s expensive (like $15 for a tin), but it’s high quality stuff and good for weight loss.

Black coffee is excellent as well……

Follow the first method for one will lose weight..dont use any tablets..

2nd method:-
colour ray therapy of sunlight—–(this is part of holistic healing)
the sunlight has got 7 colours… Red and yellow colour rays have got healing property to cure most of the diseases.

Which is better when on a vegitarien diet, coffee or tea? And which kinds?

I am starting a more healthier eating diet becaus eof access body weight especially in the stomach area. i woudl like to know which is better coffee or tea. And which kinds are good for te vegitarien diet?

Tea would be better. I heard that Green Tea was suppose to help with weight loss. Also a Red Tea is good. I am in the process of quiting coffee because of the caffeine. I am going to go to decaf soon. Decaf really isn’t good for you either because they use chemicals to decaf it but if you can find one that has been decafed by the Swiss Water process, it is better.
