Is there a good working weight loss program?

Someone very dear to me has recently commented on her own weight and asked me to help her to work out when she doesn’t want to, and to basically be a coach to help her and with right selling side her. I need help though, I need good weight loss supplements and a rigorous schedule. Any working supplements in mind?

Maricela answers:

There are thousands, hundreds of thousands of weight loss programs and diets out there.
You could say that some of them work, but the majority are short term solutions and deprive you of essential nutrients and water. They seem to work amazingly well but the moment you stop this program or diet the weight piles back on in the blink of an eye.
Most are very expensive too.
I believe the safest, cheapest and most effective solution is the simple ‘burn more calories than you consume’ method. Don’t settle with a drastic diet where you starve yourself. Start out small and slowly lower the number of calories you intake per day. An easy way to do this is cut out all drinks other than water. Soft drinks, sport drinks, energy drinks, tea and coffee all contain high amounts of calories that are pretty much a waste so you might as well save those calories for your food.
Eat healthy foods! Control your portion sizes and don’t deprive yourself of the foods you love. Just have them OCCASIONALLY and in SMALL portions!

If you have an iPhone or iPod touch there are some really great apps that help you contol your calories and have great facts about food and energy. Some of my favourites: ‘MyFood’, ‘Snack App’, ‘MyFitnessPal’, ‘RunKeeper’ etc. There’s loads out there!

Is the use of cinnamon bad for weight loss?

Maricela answers:

Yogurt is good for dieting because is very low in calories and fat but very high in nutritional value. Its a very good substitute for a snack if you add honey and fruits or a light meal if you add rice and salad.

Wholemeal staple foods are much better than white ones. Prefer the dark breads, pasta, rice, cereal and other foods because they contain more fibre that is very good for the organism. It helps your intestines work perfectly.

You can also try and add cinnamon to your diet. It boosts our metabolism especially if you are on a weight loss plan.

Does anyone know any good military workouts or weight loss muscle exercises?

Would like to know if anyone knows a good way to build muscle like a 6 pack and ect, Plus a good weight loss plane to go with it to stay in shape?

Military exercises are designed for functional uses not getting a 6 pack, although people in the military do get six packs. Most people in the military that have 6 packs are 18-25 year olds that just went through basic training. As you probably know your metabolism seems to slow down after a certain age. Or maybe we just become more sedentary?

The key to getting a six pack is diet. A six pack and being in great shape don’t necessarily correlate.

You can be in great shape and have a flat stomach instead of a six pack.

How do you get a six pack? I’ve known many people that do hundreds of ab exercises and still don’t get a six pack. I know people who do a minimum ab workout and have a six pack. Ab muscles grow just like any other muscle group.

Star with 2 sets and work up to 5 sets of ab exercies. Do 10-15 reps only.

Too many people think you must do a 1,000 situps to get abs, but all you are doing is working on creating endurance muscles and way over doing it.

Research online how many calories you should be eating. Make sure you are eating the right combination of protein, fats, carbs etc. Try to eat fruits and veggies. Cut the fat on the meat you eat to a minimum.

Progressive overload priniciple look that up to.

Start with 2 sets of any exercise for any body part and GRADUALLY increase your sets. At first stick to doing 10-12 reps per set.


Read books. If you can afford it hire a personal trainer for awhile, better yet hire a few different trainers over your lifetime.
